12U girls accused of harassment and bullying at recent fall game.  No, not as bad as it sounds.  More so a reflection of one of the most unpleasant parts of the game for me.  I see it mainly in rec. games but tourney ball has it's share as well.  I'm talking about those well intentioned parents/fans/coaches that just don't know the rules of the game.  Be it the seemingly interchangeable "interference" or "obstruction" to the "she's in the circle, she's in the circle, she can't . . . ".  It really is OK to allow the girls to cheer for their team members.  Harassment and Bullying?  No, not really guys.  They're just having fun.  It's actually part of the game.

Cheering and chanting is good as long as it is showing good sportsmanship.  Sometimes a girl has to defend herself too cause you can only tolerate the crap for so long. That is why there is a code of conduct and it should be for all players parents and fans.  Good for the man in blue that kicks their butts out of the park or a girl out of the game cause the rules are for everyone not just sweet little ole you know who in other words the troublemaker of the team.
